"Leo" Gose
August 8, 2007

From his recent birthday announcement on July 27, 2007:  "6 years ago we came across a sad old Beagle who had been dumped off at the local Humane Society. When we made the tough decision to add a 3rd dog to our crew (which we said we would never do because it was just 'too much'), we had NO idea that he would still be with us 6 years later. We figured we were doing a good deed giving a 10yr old Beagle 'a couple' of good retirement years on a soft warm couch. Little did we know that with age came wisdom... the wisdom of how to open a dishwasher, the wisdom of how to open the bread drawer, the wisdom of how to open cabinets (especially the one under the sink with the 'trash').... and, most importantly, the wisdom of how to get us wrapped around his little paw.

Through all of his medical issues, the old man keeps on plugging along. Each time we take him to the vet for an issue, or just for a checkup, they always tell us "He has such a strong heart." Heck... you don't need a stethascope to tell me that."

Sweet Leo was rescued by his family from a shelter.  He was immensely loved ever since.
He is missed and will always be present in the hearts of those who loved him.
He lived 16 wonderful years.

"Charlotte" Goodwin
1993 - September 2007

She was found in the town of Charlotte,Vt and I was really into the band,The Cure and they had a song called Charlotte sometimes, so we thought it was fate! She was sweet and very mellow. She was a tough little dog and she was an excellent rabbit dog. I of course didn't hunt w/ her, but she would get on scents and go forever. She even flushed a bunny out of the bushes right to Rus's feet. She didn't require a lot of attention and was often overshadowed by Rance and Arlo, who have much bigger, louder personalities. She was just a little lady!!!

Please join us in lighting a candle, wherever you may be, to honor Charlotte
on Monday, October 8th at 7PM, Eastern Standard Time.

Jean Abramson
August 29, 1921 - October 5, 2007

Jean was a beautiful soul.  I never met her in person, but she had to be a wonderful person to raise a daughter like Donna.  Go with the angels, Jean.  Your work on earth is done.  And may God hold Donna in the palm of His hand and give her peace and the knowledge that she made Jean's life so much better. - Becky Isenberg
