The Admission Process
It is our hope that you will keep your pet as we consider pet ownership a lifelong commitment. However, we understand that there are occasionally extenuating circumstances that arise which make it necessary to remove your pet from your home. Please bear in mind, however, that this process can take some time. We cannot assist those who call and need their pet out of the house "yesterday." Please take some responsibility for the life you brought home.

**Our ability to help re-home these dogs will depend on YOU, the owner, who must be willing to hold onto your dog in your home until we find an approved adopter!**
Soul Searching
Please consider whether you truly need to surrender your beagle. To help with this decision, please read our Alternatives to Rescue pages
After reading the information about Alternatives to Rescue, and deciding that you have no option than surrendering your Beagle, please verify whether your beagle is up-to-date on his/her vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and in general good health. These are requirements for us to assist you.
Once you have provided us with your pet's medical records, completed an online application, and sent us a recent digital photo of your dog, we can list the dog on our website and refer potential adopters to you.
Beagles posted on our website in this manner are not owned by CBR-East, and do not fall under the auspices of the dogs who are adopted through our rescue. We simply serve as the 3rd party in listing the dog for local residents.
