 Sydney Armstrong
 2/26/48 - 12/6/08
The animal rescue world lost a hero on December 6, 2008.  Although Sydney was a co-founder of Triangle Beagle Rescue of NC, she was a supporter & friend of Cascade Beagle Rescue as well.  She was a lover of all animals....especially Sassie, Sadie Mae, Snickers, Miss Millie & Marshall, her family.  She was a friend and cheerleader to those of us who struggle with rescue cases day by day.  She offered encouragement, support and smiles to those in "the trenches" of rescue. She will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Farewell, our friend.  We know where you are and we will look to you to greet all of those, human and animal, who may be afraid to cross the bridge alone.  We'll tell them you'll be be there for them too, just like you were for so many here on earth.

Tributes in Sydney's honor 

Sydney was my friend . When I was new to rescue she helped me find answers.  Sometimes she laughed as I yelled about people ... And then would listen and offer a shoulder when I cried about the dogs.  I respected her inner strength and open heart to all , she opened the world of rescue to everyone who had a minute... I know when she passed over the rainbow bridge they welcomed her with wagging tails and Kisses . I will miss her wisdom , strength and kindness Sydney was
one of those rare people that truly was a Angel here on earth. God speed Syd till we talk beagles in heaven...
